Code of Conduct
Physics by Drinkers is an space created by physicists of the National University of Colombia in order to study, discus and share ideas, concepts and experiences from students that while doing or after finishing their undergraduate have doubted their knowledge and abilities as physicists. This space is open to express ideas exclusively for academic purposes and is not responsible for the individual opinions there expressed.
This code of conduct applies to all Physics by Drinkers participation spaces, including meetings, Google meet, Zoom, Instagram, YouTube channel, mailing lists, both online and offline. Anyone who violates this code of conduct must be sanctioned or expelled from these spaces.
-
Questions and interventions by the public should always be made politely to the speaker.
-
Physics by Drinkers is not a place to show off. Neither by the presenters, or by the public.
-
Physics by Drinkers seeks to generate discussions during the sessions, so interventions are accepted during the talks, although there is a space for questions at the end.
-
In order to respect the time of all attendees, the decision was made that the duration of each talk is one hour (1h) + interventions (of no more than 15 minutes in total).
-
The sessions + interventions will be recorded and then published on the Physics By Drinkers YouTube channel (~ 1h15).
-
If the questions during the interventions cannot be solved with a brief explanation, they are left until the end of the talk.
Is an initiative created by graduated physicists from the National University of Colombia as a consequence of the unconformity with the way physics is traditionally taught.
By now, we are having some talks given by us and by some invited but we will grow more soon!
Every Wednesday at 10 am Colombian time!
We are uploading the talks to our Youtube channel!
Write us an email and we can discuss it!, we are open to hear new ideas.
